PART ONE
As sudden as their arrival,
They vanished
without a trace
No pyrotechnics or fanfare
Just one giant
empty space
And everyone's
asking questions
Like what was the
goddamned point
Humanity's left
without answers
Our spirits were
knocked out of joint
Now I've been
doing some thinking
And watching the
world return
To some kind of
state of normal
And there's
something I have learned
While living in
fear of the unknown
The world had a
common threat
And people who'd
fought one another
Were basically
forced to forget
And nations had
banded together
To map out a plan
of attack
For now at least
they will remember
They once had each
other's back
And what of the
visiting objects
Are they coming
again some day
